The Women’s Budget Group has given evidence to the Low Pay Commission consultation on the National Minimum Wage (NMW.) The Low Pay Commission is the independent body that advises the Government on the level of the minimum wage. In October 2019 they will recommend to the government the rates of National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage to apply from April 2020 and, the longer term aims of the Low Pay Commission in achieving the NMW beyond 2020.
