‘Freedom Day’ – what are the implications of lifting lockdown restrictions in England?

Prime Minister Johnson set out his plans to move England into step four of his unlocking roadmap. July 19th will mark the first day of this plan, now being called ‘Freedom Day’. The work and pensions minister, Thérèse Coffey, also confirmed that the universal credit uplift of £20 a week will be withdrawn at the end of September.
