Dr Angela O’Hagan

 

Dr Angela O’Hagan is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Social Sciences in the Glasgow School for Business and Society (GSBS) and Deputy Director of the Wise Centre for Economic Justice where she teaches and researches on human rights, gender, development. Angela has extensive experience in gender budgeting and is the independent Chair of the Scottish Government Equality Budgets Advisory Group, has been Convenor of the Scottish Women’s Budget Group and is a member of the Management Committee of the UK Women’s Budget Group.  Angela co-ordinates the European Gender Budgeting Network and recently published Gender Budgeting in Europe: Developments and Challenges, co-edited with Elisabeth Klatzer, a comparative analysis of policy, processes, and methodologies to advance gender budgeting in a range of European countries. Angela is a regular contributor to external events and evidence sessions in the Scottish Parliament and elsewhere and is a member of several civil society organisations.
