Intersecting Inequalities: BME women and Austerity – report launch

The APPG on Race and Community and the APPG on Sex Equality are delighted to invite you to:

Intersecting Inequalities: BME women and Austerity – report launch

On the 10th October, the Women’s Budget Group and the Runnymede Trust will be launching brand new research that reveals how government Budgets since 2010 have impacted Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) women. In partnership with Coventry Women’s Voices and RECLAIM in Manchester, we’ve carried out research that brings BME women’s lived experiences to the forefront.

The launch will give us new insight into the ways BME have been hit hardest by successive Budgets, and follow with discussion on what must be done reverse the trend.

Speakers will include:

  • Dawn Butler MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Women and Equalities
  • Helen Grant MP, Maidstone and The Weald
  • Rt. Hon. David Lammy MP, Tottenham
  • Kacea Omeje, peer researcher, RECLAIM

RSVP to kimberly@runnymedetrust.org

Runnymede and the Women’s Budget Group would like to thank the Barrow Cadbury Trust for their support with this project.
