Georgina Waylen

Georgina is the WJM MacKenzie Chair in Government and Professor of Politics at the University of Manchester. Prior to this she was a Professor of Politics at the University of Sheffield and she previously taught at the Universities of Salford and East Anglia.  Her main teaching and research interests are in the fields of gender and politics, and gender and political economy. She is currently a visiting professor at King’s College University of London. She is a Fellow of the British Academy and the Academy of Social Sciences. Between 2009-2024 she was a co-director of the Feminism and Institutionalism International Network (FIIN).
