Research Assistant (one-year contract, extension possible subject to funding)

We are currently recruiting for a Research Assistant to join our small staff team in our Brixton office. Some home working is possible. WBG operates a flexible working policy.

28 days annual leave (pro rata) plus public holidays. Workplace pension scheme

Hours: 22 hours per week. We are open to job share applications and the post can be worked over three or more days. Some out of hours working may be required for which TOIL will be given.

Salary: £26,000 pro rata (£15,600)

Place of work: WBG offices in London for at least part of the week. Some home working is possible.

We are seeking a dedicated person to join the Women’s Budget Group as a Research Assistant. You will work to support the Head of Research and Policy on a series of projects and provide administrative support to our Early Career Network and to our gender budgeting across the 4 nations project.

The successful candidate will have experience in a research role, strong research and writing skills, be highly organised and able to work on their own initiative.

This is an exciting time to join the Women’s Budget Group. We have built a strong reputation for analysing the impact of UK Government policies and for research into alternative policies that would promote gender equality. We are launching a new project in partnership with our sister organisations in the devolved nations: the Scottish Women’s Budget Group, Northern Ireland Women’s Budget Group and Chwarae Teg, to support gender budgeting work across the 4 nations of the UK.
